Q: It is amazing that no one is doing serious research into channeling.
I think there has been some research done, especially at UCLA. The research that I am familiar with was done by Ph.D.s. One doctor studied the psychological changes in those who are developing as channels. She wrote a dissertation on her findings. [The late Dr. Margo Chandley.] There are also brain wave studies in which channels have been hooked up to EEG machines. [These are not released to the public yet.] When channels go into the channeling state and begin channeling an entity, all the brain waves peak. For instance, when we are awake in normal life, only the beta brain waves peak. It seems that channeling uses more of the brain because all the brain waves peak. The brain becomes more active. This is exciting because it may confirm the idea that, in fact, channeling is expanding the human potential.

Q: Does this mean that everyone needs to learn to channel to expand their brain capacity?
No, I don't think so. If the theories about the morphogenetic field are correct, there will only need to be a certain number of channels to reach critical mass. Darryl Anka
Darryl's fascinating personal story
Darryl Anka has had 1 feature film script produced by Nu Image Entertainment and two scripts optioned, one by AMI Productions and the other by the Mutual Film Company. Darryl has been a Nicholl Fellowships semi-finalist and has had two script in the top ten finalist list of the StoryPros screenwriting contest, with one of the scripts, a sci-fi comedy called "Alienated" going on to win second place.

Darryl has also recently shot his first film as a writer-producer-director, called "Dearly Departed", which is a fictional documentary shot as though the crew took the camera into the afterlife and interviewed spirits of people who've passed on to get their take on life after death. The film is in post-production as of late 2011. Darryl is also a public speaker on various metaphysical subjects, has given international seminars for the past 28 years and has had more than 15 books published in the U.S. and Japan.

Darryl Anka started his Hollywood career as a visual and special effects artist who has worked on, among many others, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, I Robot, Pirates of the Caribbean, Die Hard 4 and Iron Man.^[1] After that he started working as a producer and writer. He is also an internationally known channeler, speaker and author with sales of over 300,000 books in Japan.^[2]

Anka claims that he began to communicate, through trance-channeling, with an extra-terrestrial entity called Bashar in 1983. He describes Bashar as existing in a parallel reality, in a time frame that we perceive as the future. Back in the mid-80's I read Ken Dychtwald's book "Bodymind" and became fascinated with the idea of increasing body awareness through hands-on approaches, such as Dr. Rolf's Method of Structural Integration. But it wasn't until 1991 that I finally received the work. My Structural Integration experience changed my body so profoundly, that I no longer perceived the world the same as I did prior to that event. I was different, yet I couldn't quite grasp what had happened to me. I spent time researching this and other modalities and in 1993 I took my first massage course with Robert Brown out in Santa Rosa, CA. I practiced massage for several years in Rhode Island and then moved to Boulder, CO to study at the Guild for Structural Integration with Emmett Hutchins and Peter Melchior. By mid-2001, I had opened my practice in Connecticut, and now thoroughly enjoy walking to work in my socks with a cup of tea in hand, having fun exploring all the interesting possibilities and being open to what my clients can teach me each day.
